The medieval hack-and-slash game For Honor is non-fantasy. The Legion, Chosen, and Warborn factions can be played. The three factions are knights, samurai, and Vikings. Classes feature distinct powers and weaponry, and players can customize. Character gender and armor can be adjusted.
Axes and swords are used in melee combat. The game's competitive multiplayer modes support eight players split evenly between two teams. Players are assisted by many teammates when a match begins. Permanent and temporary points can be acquired in a match. A team must eliminate players from the other when they score enough points. After all opposing players are eliminated, the contest concludes. Killing a set number of foes consecutively levels up and grants Feats, which are perks. Players can gain points and strengths, call in arrows or catapults, or heal themselves with these benefits.
